Ten on Tuesday

It seems like the only time I write anything here is on Tuesdays. This week's topic over at Ten on Tuesday is a good one for me, so here it is.

10 Favorite Characters From Television

In no particular order...

1. Stewie Griffin - He makes the show, in my opinon.
2. Dr. Gregory House - Yummy!
3. Creed Bratton - Creed from The Office is a hoot. I'd love to know someone like him in real life.
4. Ricky Ricardo - I was in love with him as a child and so I have to add him to the list. I dreamed of one day marrying him.
5. Elaine Benes - My favorite character from Seinfeld. STELLA!!!!
6. Stanley Hudson - Also from The Office. He doesn't have many lines, but he comes out with some good ones. Just watching him in the background doing his crosswords makes me smile.
7. Dr. James Wilson - Everyone should have a good friend like Wilson.
8. Davy Jones - Okay, I loved The Monkees and their TV show and he was the cute one.
9. Johnny Gage - He was a paramedic on Emergency. Big crush.
10. Dr. Mark Green - My favorite doctor on ER. I cried and cried when he died.

Payoff

Tonight our bowling league (Balls Ford Mixed) returns for our big payoff. This league lasts for what feels like 899 weeks and I'm always ready for the summer break. Actually the league lasts 35 weeks, I think, but since Christmas and New Year's Day landed on Thursdays, we had to extend the league by 3 weeks. Don't forget Thanksgiving. It drug on and on and on. It was especially slow because we spent 30 or so of those weeks in last place. Last week a miracle occurred. We slipped out of last place! We finished in next to last place! Yay! That translates to $5.00 more per person. Five dollars will buy you a mixed drink in some places. It can buy you 5 items at the Dollar Tree. Five dollars is nothing to sneeze at in this economy.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to receiving my cold hard cash tonight. I'm going early to have a couple drinks. I shall take photos if I don't forget to take my camera. More later.....

Tuesday Afternoon

I have begun to hate Tuesdays almost as much as Mondays. I close at work on Mondays and by the time I give my co-worker, Peter, a ride home, I get home around 9:30, wide awake and exhausted. I get up around 4:30 on Tuesday and get to work around 6:30. I'm okay for the first couple of hours, but then the lace of sleep gets to me.

Today after work I decided to go tanning. The tanning salon that I have gone to for over about 15 years has become rundown and I cannot go there anymore. I had 20 minutes left so today would be my last visit there. At the 10 minute mark, I was sweating horribly and felt like I was going to throw up, so I got up, toweled off, got dressed and sat there until the machine stopped. It has a push button timer so I couldn't stop it. When I got home, I went straight to bed and took a nap. I felt much better, so I came downstairs and had some pretzels while I worked on my farm at Farm Town on facebook.

One day I'll do an entry on that addiction, but not today.

Today, is Ten on Tuesday day.....

Oh, my aching head

I'm just now beginning to recover from a horrible headache. I was tired and cranky when I awoke this morning, feeling like someone had beaten me up during the night, but I got up and drug myself to work. As the minutes went by, I felt worse and by 9:30 my head felt like it was splitting open. I told Dottie, my supervisor, that I had to go home. She said okay so off I went. I took some Advil and went to bed with Dee Dee. I dozed a bit and felt some better, so I got up and went tanning.

On my way home I stopped by Shoppers to get some items for tonight's dinner. I'm having this turkey casserole thing. It contains ground turkey with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning, stuffing (I just use the good old Stove Top because I'm lazy), whole cranberry sauce, gravy and topped with mashed potatoes. It's quite yummy, but I cannot remember where I got the recipe. I'm not even sure if I layer it correctly, but it probably doesn't matter.

I also cooked up some mushrooms, onions and garlic for a rice dish I'm going to make tomorrow. It's just brown rice with those veggies and some vegetable broth and a little or in my case, a lot of feta cheese.

Today is Tuesday, so here's this week's Ten on Tuesday....

The beginning

I've been blogging on myspace for a while now, but I feel like I need a regular, mainstream blog now. I'm hoping that I can transfer my entries from myspace, but I'm not sure if that's possible.

I'm drinking wine and looking forward to the weekend.

More later.....
